Happy everyday is Mother’s Day, dear sisters.
Though Mother’s Day was celebrated last Sunday, every mom reading this—you are seen, honored, and deeply loved.
I want to offer a special embrace to mothers who have experienced loss… the kind of loss that words cannot comfort. Every Mother’s Day I am grateful that I have my son, DeMaris and also look to God who I trust has my son, Cameron in His care. It’s not easy because I am still his mother.
Did you know that a baby leaves biological traces of themselves in their mother’s body for life?
Science calls it fetal micro chimerism. Cells from your baby cross into your body during pregnancy and remain there—even after birth, even after loss. It’s a mother’s sacred imprint. You literally carry a part of your child in your heart, in your bones, in your soul.
That’s why the bond is unbreakable.
That’s why grief is so deep.
Because love like that never leaves—it just changes form.
So today, to the mother holding her child’s memory close:
You are still their mama.
Still chosen. Still cherished. Still whole, even in your hurting.
May God comfort you with peace that surpasses understanding.
And may today and every day be filled with gentle joy and tender reminders that your motherhood matters—forever.
From a mother’s heart,
Auntie Joyce
