Get Ready—Because Things Have Changed

June 12, 2025by Jocelyn Hall0

Let’s be honest—things aren’t what they used to be.

Prices are rising. The world is shaking. From unexpected storms to strange supply shortages, it’s clear we are living in uncertain times. And while the headlines may stir up fear, I want to remind you of this truth:

God is still God.

He is still faithful, still sovereign, still the same yesterday, today, and forever.
But hear me clearly: we also must do our part.

The Bible says in Proverbs 22:3,
“The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.”

This isn’t the time to panic—it’s the time to prepare.

A Few Wise Steps to Take:

  • Stock up wisely: Keep extra non-perishables, water, batteries, candles, flashlights, and medications on hand.
  • Think ahead: If power went out for 3 days—or 3 weeks—would you be okay?
  • Plan for your people: Consider elderly parents, young children, or neighbors who might need help in a crisis.
  • Pray and seek peace: Don’t move from fear. Move from wisdom.

We aren’t just surviving—we’re getting ready. Not because we doubt God, but because we trust Him enough to listen.

In Matthew 25, the wise virgins brought extra oil. They were ready for the unexpected.

Let’s be wise in this season. Prepare your home. Prepare your heart. Make choices now that protect your future.

And through it all, keep your eyes on the Lord.

He is still our shelter.
Still our provider.
Still our peace in the storm.

You are not alone. We’re preparing—together.

Love,
Auntie Joyce
