Let’s talk.
I’m here to share with you, and this time it’s about undesirable decisions. If you haven’t been there, just wait a little while longer. It’s part of life that put us in places we never planned to be; not in our wildest dreams. Situations that we do not hope for nor would wish upon our worst enemies. One day I woke up with a pretty good feeling about weekend plans and had an interruption that I would never forget. In fact, that day turned my life in another direction. That day was the day I found out my firstborn son had been murdered.
If I had any choice in the matter, it definitely wouldn’t be this! Yet, as this life is playing out for me, I had to live it. Any decisions revolving around my son’s death was brutally uncomfortable. The loss felt like a piece of my heart was ripped out of my chest. A mother’s heart beats for her beloved. Whether I was ready or not; liked it or not, I had to make decisions. To be honest, I did not even feel capable of going on, but had to face another day. I still had another son who was expecting his mother to get through this tragedy and be his mother. Life wasn’t on pause for me to figure things out – no, it kept ticking.
My first born was gone, and I’m still here. WHEW! It’s a lot huh? But I’m here and still moving.
This may not be your crossroad, but we all at some point had to face one. Whether it’s the athlete with a career-ending injury or the widow with a carload of children; it’s undesirable. Divorce, having a terminal illness; and other illustrations reflect life’s unpredictable madness. Whatever path in life places you in an undesirable decision, remember, hope is the key, so unlock the door:
- Hope that each day will get better.
- Hope for the pain to lessen.
- Hope in knowing that people care and are praying for you.
- Hope that the crossroad before you will have the path that will lead you to peace…
Remember, Auntie Joyce is praying for you.
Romans 15:13 “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.”
